Practical Software and Systems Measurement (PSM) is an information-driven approach to measurement that supports current software and system acquisition policy and provides a basis for enterprise level management. PSM was the foundation for the ISO/IEC 15939 standard on Software Measurement Process.
The Practical Software Measurement (PSM) initiative provides managers with the objective information needed to successfully meet cost, schedule, and technical objectives on software intensive/system development programmes. PSM defines an issue-driven analysis approach to help engineers and managers make more informed decisions.
